Artist in Residence 2005
In 2004, Awakening Arts Institute's Artist
in Residence Louise Amelia Phelps from Glastonbury England
had an opening at the Flying Hare Gallery in Grass Valley
California. This year, Louise showed her work in the new gallery
at the Institute of Noetic Sciences in Petaluma (www.noetic.org).
Louise showed two series of work; "The Mother of Stars"
and "Eternities Children".
Her reception was part of an enchanting evening
called the "Star Garden Party"
which also featured the band of Linda Webb Khakaba and a laser
light show by Nini Tantrini and Cherry Optical Holography.
Louise read her poetry to a mesmerized audience. In this year's
residency at Awakening Arts Institute, Louise completed her
first book combining her poetry and her art. The first edition
was sold out!
